The law, much like art, can sometimes be abstract to understand. Collectors, institutions and artists are often in need of advice on how they can navigate the often informal creative sector that is increasingly being recognized as an important economic, social and cultural contributor, in a manner that safeguards their rights. Through this panel, experts in the law will share their advice on an assortment of matters such as creating and maintaining an art collection, setting up private museums or foundations, inheritance planning, tax laws, estate planning, protection of copyright and taking action against infringing or fake works, especially in the age of digital art.
