About the Programme

Artificial intelligence (AI) has done what no technology has done before. AI is not just a tool but a collaborator thereby challenging the definitions of art and creativity.

This conversation will delve into the potential and possibilities working with AI offers art and art practitioners. Speakers will also discuss questions surrounding the ethics and laws as it stands today and map out how meaningful resolutions can be found to ensure the protection of artistic rights and the encouragement of innovation.

Prateek Arora

Prateek Arora is a screenwriter and AI artist, and VP Development at global content studio BANG BANG. His work examines the impact of popular culture on memory and identity, technological progress as an index of cultural change, and the potency of genre cinema as a conduit for repressed or censored ideas. Prateek's work has been featured in publications such as Cosmopolitan, Platform, Grazia, and WePresent. Prateek’s first solo show “Rocketganj” opened in November 2023 at the Photoink gallery in New Delhi and his work has been exhibited at India Art Fair, Art Mumbai and PhotoVogue Milan.

Nikhil Narendran

Nikhil Narendran is a subject matter expert in the technology, media and telecom communication space. He focuses on the interplay of technology, human lives and commerce. Nikhil Narendran has substantial experience in advising companies on telecom, media and technology laws in relation to India entry, operations, strategy, policy, regulatory issues, disputes and business models.​ He advises new age e-commerce, Fintech and technology companies in India on their business models and regulatory issues including data protection. Nikhil’s advice in the telecom regulatory sector ranges from mobile telephony, enterprise, Satcom, cloud and call centre related work. In the media sector, Nikhil has advised both traditional and new media content delivery services including triple play, dual play and OTT.

Dinesh Moorjani

Dinesh Moorjani is a serial tech founder & CEO, investor, researcher, and adjunct professor. He is the founding partner of Time Zero Capital, a venture capital fund investing in responsible innovation. Dinesh was the founder and CEO of Hatch Labs Inc., where he founded numerous software companies from ground up. He cofounded Tinder (NASDAQ: MTCH) in 2012. He has started several other software businesses, including Saffronart - a profitable, leading global eCommerce marketplace for Indian fine art & collectibles, backed by Sequoia Capital. He cofounded Kleverbeast, a SaaS application development platform, and Monet Analytics, an AI SaaS business that decodes human emotion. Dinesh earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University and MBA from Harvard. He is also a PhD candidate at Stanford University, where his interdisciplinary research focuses on climate financing for deep tech innovation.

Asad Lalljee

Asad Lalljee is the SVP of the Essar Group, CEO of Avid Learning – an arts and culture public programming platform, and the Curator of the Royal Opera House, Mumbai. He brings several years of advertising, publishing, marketing, and business development experience, spanning global and local markets. Before relocating to India, Asad worked for 14 years as one of the ‘Mad Men’ advertising executives on New York's Madison Avenue. He was with McCann-Erickson, and earlier with Hill Holiday, a subsidiary of advertising giant IPG. In 2018, Asad was inducted into the prestigious FICCI Art and Culture Committee as a distinguished member. In 2022, Asad was co-opted as Kala Ghoda Association’s Executive Committee member, with whom Avid Learning shares a decade-long partnership. He was also on the advisory board of the Mumbai Urban Art Festival 2022-2023 by St+Art India Foundation.
