Stage Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Stage Manager to join our team at ART MUMBAI.

The primary role of this position is to oversee the technical and logistical aspects of live events including musical, dance and theatrical performances. The ideal candidate will manage stage operations, coordinate with artists and crew, while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the technical and logistical aspects of live events including musical, dance and theatrical performances
• Manage stage operations, coordinate with artists and crews
• Oversee all stage setups, including lighting, sound, and props, for events such as panel discussions and performances
• Coordinate with technicians, artists & internal production/ operations teams to execute the event schedule seamlessly
• Manage cue-to-cue rehearsals and ensure timely transitions between segments
• Supervise stage crew and assist in troubleshooting technical issues during live events
• Prepare detailed run sheets and communicate updates to all involved parties
• Conduct post-event debriefs to review performance and plan improvements

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of stage management experience, preferably in arts or cultural events.
• Strong knowledge of stage technical requirements (lighting, sound, staging).
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Digitally proficient, strong organization and communication skills
• Confident in high pressure & fast paced environments, comfortable with extended work hours
• Fluent in English and Hindi
• Mumbai based **
• Familiarity with the art world or South Asian cultural events is a plus
