About the Programme

When compared to investments such as stocks, bonds, and real estate which rely on financial performance, art is perceived as a more stable investment. Art is not driven by the same modes as traditional investments. It is driven by subjective factors such as aesthetics, rarity, historical significance, and the reputation of artists and art movements. This talk has been conceived to explain the art market in three primary points, how art and culture is produced, the benefits of investing in it and how to maintain and sustain investments long term. We invite the panelists to draw from current events to enable the audience to navigate the complexities of the art market. Image courtesy Saffronart
